Strut Your Mutt Benefit at the Rialto Theater

Tacoma, WA – On Saturday, June 7, Broadway Center for the Performing Arts combines forces with The Humane Society Tacoma & Pierce County to put on an animal and arts education benefit event.  The annual Strut Your Mutt day-long event includes an all day Goofy Pet Tricks Competition, Pet Boutique and Adopt-a-Pet Fair,

followed by an evening Premiere Pet Fashion Show in Downtown Tacoma’s Rialto Theater.

The Goofy Pet Tricks Competition is an opportunity for pet lovers to give their special friends a chance to take the stage and strut their stuff!  The competition is not limited to dogs, all pets are welcome.  To pre-register your pet, contact the Broadway Center Box Office at 253.591.5894 or visit www.broadwaycenter.org. Pre-registration is $25 per pet and includes a Day Pass entry ticket. There is limited availability for registration with only 30 spaces available.  Day of show registration is $35.  The top five pets will be selected to take the stage during the evening Premier Pet Fashion Show.

Day Passes are available for $10.  Doors open at 9:30am at the Rialto Theater.  Activities vary throughout the day.  From 9:30am to 1:30pm, 30 pre-registered pets will have the opportunity to Strut their Stuff on stage during the Goofy Pet Tricks Competition.  26 Bark Avenue Pet Boutique will be open from 10am – 10pm.  From 2pm to 5pm, The Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County will be on-site with kittens, bunnies and other pets that may need a loving home.

The Premier Pet Fashion Show features attire for all seasons including bridal and holiday boutique clothing as well as the latest in dog coats and sweaters for all breeds.

VIP tickets are available for $50 and include the Day Pass, Evening Show and a VIP Reception prior to the Pet Fashion Show.  Tickets for the Premiere Pet Fashion Show are $25.
