Tacoma Symphony Orchestra: World-Premiere Percussion Concerto

The quintessential work of the Impressionistic era, Debussy's poignant Prelude expanded the palette of Western musical language forever. “Percussion is the new violin,” writes The New York Times. The TSO's two principal percussionists will captivate and amaze in a brand new work by Tacoma's celebrated composer, Dr. Gregory Youtz. Schubert died young and obscure, but lives on in his immortal “Great C Major” Symphony.
